@mary_taylor92: I taught this flow in an all levels class giving plenty of options for exploration my dharma talk✨ santosha one of the niyamas that translates to contentment we live in a world today that we are constantly needing more, the need for endless goals, comparison to other people lives we often forget to pause to live in what is happening right now because we are in the constant need of more more more more money, more happiness when, more shapes, more advancement…. so on the mat today I offered students a moment to just be in the pose that was happening today not the “perfect pose” they thought they needed because they saw it on instagram I wanted them to flourish in what their version of the pose felt like, to notice without judgement, not change or fix just to be and off the mat once they left the room I offered them to swap the words “ill be happy when” with “what can I celebrate today” Santosha doesn’t mean to be complacent with your life and stop working towards your goals it just means to stop postponing your joy and happiness until your life “looks a certain way” 🦋 take full classes with me right from home or in person🔗link in my bio for more info 🖤 #yoga #yogateacher #vinyasa
