Re watching the first couple of seasons now as an adult I view Catherine very differently now. Not saying she was perfect at all but he manipulated her so bad and isolated her ans basically ruined her.

I was a young mother watching these seasons and I wept for Catherine. I can’t imagine having my children taken away and no resources or opportunity to fight for them. Also I was always under the impression that she was failing these drug tests for marijuana which was always absolutely insane to see her demonized by the courts and her peers for that.

It took me so long to get past the initial seasons of Southern Charm because it was so depressing and had such a dark energy around it. Got so much better when Thomas left.
