Michelle :
You’re looking for the Yule Aesthetic. It’s the winter solstice and it’s very dark and edgy and looks very chic instead of cartoonish or themed.

goth christmas to me gives catholic vibes, not in a religion way, in a smokey incense, medieval ornate decor, ritual candles, deep plum and maroon type way

Too many people think that Gothic just is black or Halloween. It certainly not.

I do a dark Christmas. I keep to natural things. My tree is have dark greens and fake pinecones and berries and I have small ornaments that look like real animals and dark reds. I do deep velvet trees and deer in dark greens, burgandy, black, wood and gold tones. Very moody and natural 🥰 it’s my fave. My Xmas wreath is a “Halloween” wreath I get at homegoods it’s just deep tone burgundy flowers and natural vibes. Wrapping paper I use black and natural tones and bones it’s soooo cozy and moody.

I talked my wife out of a black tree for this reason. I love gothic, Victorian aesthetics. Black tree gives like.. modern in a bad way imo

We have a Yule tree because we celebrate Yule, not Christmas. Everything on our tree is either natural or collected to represent each other or events of our lives. This topper was made from crystals used in our wedding, a pentacle gifted to us for our wedding, raven crystals we bought together and natural eucalyptus.
