It’s been said already that you are reaching out to luxury wedding photographers so maybe take a step back and do some more research to figure out what you like most from their work that drew you in, in the first place. There are traveling wedding photographers that would cost half that cost that would come to you! I’ve traveled across the U.S for between $5k-$7k in the past

Just like your car, there’s tiers to this. Honda gonna cost less than Audi and so on. Sounds like your taste in photographers so far is in the luxury market. There are a ton of great photographers in the 3-6k range. But they may not match your taste, unfortunately

I would love it if we’re going to get upset about a price that we share exactly what we requested from that photographer. Did you only want the wedding day? Did you want a full wedding weekend? Did you want an engagement session and a bridal session? Did you want an album? All of that contributes to a higher price point. Please be transparent about what you asked for before crashing out about the price of photography

so look at less expensive photographers . you can literally find a photographer in any area at any price. a luxury photographer is a completely different experience than a experienced high end photographer. they are a completely different experience then an average photographer. they are also beginning photographers. there is a reason you are looking at the luxury work.

Are you looking at photographers with big followings? $18k starting is a lot but common with super well-known photographers. We charge between $2-5k for photo in central Florida & I feel that’s pretty middle of the road compared to others I’ve seen
