Hair advice I’m refusing to follow as a fine-haired girl 👀👇🏻 1. “Skip conditioner if your hair gets oily.” My scalp is oily. My ends are dry. Both can exist 😅 Conditioner goes on my mid-lengths and ends. Skipping it isn’t doing those tangles any favors. 2. “Fine hair girls shouldn’t use oil.” The right oil, the right amount, in the right places. I love an oil treatment before washing—you don’t need to drench your hair to get the benefits. 3. “You don’t need a leave-in.” Have you MET fine hair? 😂 Mine tangles if I look at it wrong. A lightweight leave-in makes detangling easier, which means less fighting with my brush. 4. “Trim it every 6 weeks if you want it to grow.” I’m trying to keep my length, so I’m not cutting it off just because six weeks have passed. I trim when needed and use Rejuvabeads to keep my ends looking smoother between appointments. 5. “Your hair just doesn’t grow.” If your roots are growing but your length isn’t changing, look at what’s happening to your ends. You could be breaking off the length you’re working so hard to grow. 6. “Scalp care is unnecessary.” We’ll do a whole skincare routine and then completely ignore our scalp? Make it make sense 😅 Scalp care has a permanent spot in my routine. 7. “Just brush through it.” Absolutely not. Start at the ends, gently work your way up, and stop yanking through knots. I’m trying to keep this hair on my head. Fine hair doesn’t mean you’re destined for thin, scraggly ends forever.
