Yeah .... he's kind of a villain now for me. Men can survive this (he already has had an affair). But he's done all that, potentially caused her ruin and got to act all innocent in the morning. He knew. They both knew the consequences of this.... and he never even checked in on her. Done with him. Marian can make her own choices. But this didn't feel right, or romantic.
