I had read about this carrier destroying missile years ago; it supposedly has the ability to maneuver in the upper atmosphere to follow a maneuvering carrier. Yes, different conditions than a carrier target moving in a predictable straight line in a desert but still i wouldn't put it past the Chinese to figure this equation out. Our military keeps making the same historical mistake of not adapting to changing times quickly enough.

The US military is battle *tested*, but not very good at winning wars unless (and even if) they're fighting peasants with less than 1% the resources of the US.

Yes, they do have little no combat experience and the last major conflict they've had was decades ago but extensive training, drills, and preparations can somewhat make up for that. China is not some pushover country, they have a huge manpower pool to draw from and they are a industrial juggernaut. Let's not underestimate them.

seen't a video recently about how Iran developed these quiet mini subs that can move to a position and then sit there stationary not making any noise for days possibly weeks, now China has to be developing stuff like this you could make an unmanned version that could sit on the bottom for months or even years something like this has the potential to penetrate or avoid most of the defenses a carrier group has

Their biggest threat is the fact that they have the factories and the proprietary technology to make simple can openers.
