now at almost 40, 18-year-old me would be blown away. I used to LIVE in tanning beds. My skincare routine was Oxy Pads, Proactiv, and Sea Breeze toner. If my face didn’t hurt, I figured it wasn’t working.  . By my late 20s, I was so upset with my hollow under-eyes, melasma, and acne that I got really into tox and fillers. I figured if my face was plump and my lips were huge, it would distract from the overall poor quality of my skin. I really didn’t know what else to do. . Then around 35, the way I used to like to look didn’t resonate with me anymore. Did I really need big duck lips?! METHINKS NOT. So, with the help of my Derm, I began a consistent at-home skincare routine. And what do you know…my texture slowly started to improve with consistent vitamin C, tretinoin, SPF…I started seeing improvements in my overall skin quality that filler and tox had never been able to give me. I was amazed.  . And now for the past four years, my in-office treatments have been yearly Dysport, yearly Fraxel Dual (four light passes, videos are in my “Mini Fraxel” highlights) and I’ll zap any Cherry angiomas or broken capillaries that appear from my rosacea (you can’t fix those with skincare!) Personally I’ve grown to care so much LESS about wrinkles and plumpness and MORE about texture and skin quality. . If you follow me, you know most of my content features some of the most trusted dermatologists and cosmetic chemists. My goal is to make skincare FUN and simple while giving you FREE access to these incredible experts I’m lucky enough to call my friends. . I started taking skincare seriously at 35, and now my skin looks better today at 40 than it ever did in my 20’s or early 30’s. Have in-office treatments helped me get here? Yes. But what I wish I’d understood years ago is just how much a consistent at-home routine can do for your skin, and how important it is to maintain and protect those results. (Hence my obsession sun protection). As I always tell you: protect your investment! . Whether you’re 25 or 65 - it’s not too late. You need a simple routine that you’ll stick with. And I can help you with that. 🫶🏻 . #skincare #skincaretips #aging
