I’m white. Childhood bestie was half Pakistani, half Iraqi. My Mum was a single parent and my besties Mum would watch me after school and at weekends ect if my Mum was short on childcare. I have naturally very thick, dense, dark hair. My Mum has traditional white person hair (she’s ginger and has approx two strands of hair). My friends Mum and Bibi would oil my hair for me. I still do it the same way, before every wash. I’m 28 and nobody will ever convince me to do it differently. We grew apart but I still carry little bits of her and her family with me
