I’ll explain since I’m the only one with an Xbox here. Xbox in their latest firmware update added the ability to change your startup animation, and with that, they changed the one for the “We Are XBOX” startup animation sound, which is the default startup if you haven’t changed it.

Today (November 2, 2026), Xbox users experienced a significant update that changed the default startup animation and sound. This update, part of the October 2026 system refresh, allows users to customize their startup experience with new animation options and sound selections. Key details: • Startup Animation Change: The default "We Are XBOX" animation was updated, with options now available in Settings > System > Startup. • User Reactions: Many users reported confusion or frustration, with some describing the change as disruptive or unexpected. • Other Updates: The October update also introduced Mythic Achievements, 1440p Remote Play, and storage management tools. If you want, I can guide you on how to change your startup animation back to the old one. Just let me know!
