"Ahlus Sunnah wal Jama'ah believe Allah exists without a place or direction. He is the Creator of place, direction, throne and time, and He exists before any creations. Allah said He is Al Awwall meaning eternal without a beginning. As for the attribute of 'Uluww that is proven for Allah in the Quran, it is Highness of status, dominance, and power — not highness in the sense of physical elevation in a direction above or settling in a particular place such as above the throne. Allah is not confined to any place, nor is He described with physical 'above-ness' because that is an attribute of created beings. Allah says: {There is nothing like unto Him}. He is Al-'Aliyy in the sense that He is exalted above His creation by His power and authority, not by a location."
