I’m heartbroken for them. I was privileged to see them once years ago and was moved to tears. 🥺

Very sad to see. My San Antonio Symphony went through the same thing after 100+ years being a cultural staple. We still don’t have a proper replacement after 4+ years.

Beautiful music😭💕 this is terrible for them I suspect the board members have always been misappropriating funds, I used to work for the classical music world and it’s not far fetched. We’re the 5th largest city in the US and with no symphony? it’s embarrassing, I hope they restructure their board to manage this better for sustainability. We deserve to listen to musicians and have the arts available to enjoy.

I don’t know how the wind instruments were able to play through this. I’d be sobbing into my mouth piece squeaking out notes.

My son got to see them last year for a field trip. He is now playing the viola; his first instrument.

So sad when the arts go first or second in a financially tough year. I bet there's tons of support for the Phoenix Sun or the Arizona Cardinals. So sad!

Mismanaged funds they could have a ton of ppl and multiple shows we tried getting into see them and they were always sold out and shows were sporadic! It was a ticking time bomb

I had to play through this piece so many times without crying because it’s just so beautiful, I couldn’t imagine having to perform it as an actual farewell. My heartbreaks for the musicians of the Phoenix Symphony. I hope they will be able to perform together again soon 😢
