I sprayed peppermint oil like crazy. A lot of people say bc you’re basement level it’s more likely but I lived on a top floor in an old building and had them like crazy soooo

centipedes aren’t bad and they eat all the bugs you DON’T want. without them, you’d be seeing a lot of other bugs you wouldn’t be happy with, so be grateful they’re there and just take throw them out the window or door when you can!

Ok agreed!!!! I have lost sleep for weeks over seeing them. I bought a dehumidifier & used diatomaceous earth FOOD grade in my bedroom and have not seen them since!!! I don’t care if they’re in the rest of the apartment but I will not have them in my bedroom 🙅🏼♀️

Unfortunately they eat other bugs like spiders and roaches so they are actually good for the home. They are just terrifying to look at lol

I have a cat, but she just plays with them 🥲 I can empathize lol I HATE them so much. Maybe try covering your drains with a fine mesh so they can’t crawl up them, and make sure there are no gaps in your baseboards

i used to hate all bugs and would immediately kill them, now ive come to realize that they benefit us in ways we don’t even realize. house centipedes will take care of all other bugs in your house even cockroaches!!! still not a fan of them but ive gotten to the point im able to live civilly, worst case id just relocate them:(

i cry when i have to kill them. Actual tears, it’s been a year since i moved from florida. FLORIDA! I’ve never seen anything like a house centipede before. They scare the shit out of me.

They are the nastiest bugs in the entire world I stg had me in psychosis everytime I had to kill one in my old garden unit in Lincoln park. saw one least every week and eventually just moved out couldn’t deal with it
