There comes a point where it's not even a thought. A person can be down so wrong, so often, that it becomes expected to have everyone want to do wrong by you by default. It becomes expected. People don't respect kindness and empathy because it's human nature to use it for your own gain. Being human is the most amazing experience as well as the cruelest existence I've ever come to know.
