Sister I disagree with this your narrative, the statistics showing us most of the investment is coming locally, about 90% of it is from local investor, our crude oil sales is growing at high prices per barrel . We have billions of dollars of diaspora remittances. Matter of fact $20 billion already this year. This your narrative is in incorrect in your opinion. Please show us your facts numbers, and evidence to prove your claims.

Wrong wrong wrong. Naira is stable cause d demand for it is a little stable, we pay high interest rate on govt bond and mutual funds. That made more ppl stop moving their money abroad for investment, if foreign investment is d main thing, Japan currency will never fall. Currency value is based on it demand, not it reserve

I’ve been asking this question since,, why is the dollar stable since but yet, things aren’t cheap, it’s not reflecting when you go to buy things in the market things are still expensive. What 10k naira can get you last year can’t get that anymore but naira to dollar is cheap compared to last year 🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️

Honestly this is an interesting conversation to have. We know that for every benefit, definitely there's a cost. The CBN needs to let us know the threshold at this point. We can't continue to ensure Naira stability at the expense of high interest rate of which we know it might probably discourage lending and borrowing for private investment.

How? I think the 20% return Treasury bills is in naira while the returns of 3% on dollars that came was in dollars. Which means the difference between 20% and 3% cannot be a straight 17% because the two were not in the same currency. This is my thought.

Look at this from another perspective the treasury bill and OMO bills is treated as loan which is used by the government to build infrastructure which creates enabling environment for more direct investment

isn't the FDI cost priced in. Also aren't they taxed when they play in T & OMO instruments. But smart money doesn't stay long.

80 percent of our foreign reserve is gotten from the sales of oil. We don’t have any direct foreign investment coming into the country. Stop misleading the public.

majority of the fund comes from sales of crude oil and diaspora remittance. The money that is from portfolio investment is like a drop of water in an ocean. The most things is to stimulate local productivity and encourage more export.
