One thing life has taught me is that you can have the purest intentions towards people and still find yourself on the receiving end of things you never expected. I’ve learnt that not everyone sees things the way you do, and not everyone attaches the same meaning to the things you share. It doesn’t necessarily make one person good and the other bad; sometimes people simply move differently. What matters is being honest with yourself, knowing where you stand and having the courage to accept things for what they are. I don’t ever want to become someone who looks at everyone with suspicion because of a few experiences. I’d rather learn, adjust and keep the good in me intact. That’s a choice I hope I never lose.
