Yk what’s always made me chuckle a bit for no reason. It took multiple hours of shelling just to disable the bismarks guns after the torpedo struck its rudder. Yet if you put the Bismark up to today’s warships and destroyers it would barely take probably 30mins at most. (Not talking costal ships in talking naval ships like destroyers and cruisers) the part that makes me chuckle idk but it’s probably the advancements in technology and how quick it happened

The amount of people in this comment section confusing “looking for” and “engaging” is truly worrying. Ultimately what happened is the bismark sunk an outdated 20 year old vessel and was then destroyed by 4 Royal Navy ships that’s it.

Nur zur Info. Es waren um die 15 schiffe der royal navy gegen die bismarck. Zusätzlich haben sie nur geschafft die bismarck schwer zu beschädigen. die Besatzung der bismarck hat sie selbst versenkt
