Apparently my favorite place to be is about 20 feet from my front door. 😂☕️ I love a trip. A concert. A weekend with friends. Getting everyone together and having something fun on the calendar. But sitting on my front porch with a cup of coffee and nowhere I need to be for a little while? That is pretty hard to beat. There’s a lot happening around here right now. Building a home for my parents across the street, decorating decisions, furniture projects, growing a business, making plans with family… my brain usually has about 14 tabs open, and at least three of them involve picking a paint color. 😂 And I’m excited about all of it. I have big goals and plenty of things I still want to do. But I don’t want to get so busy working toward what’s next that I forget to enjoy what I already have. Especially when some of the things I get to enjoy now are things I used to wish I had more time for. Slow mornings. Another cup of coffee. Time with my grown kids. Being Meeshie. Having room in my day to say yes when someone wants to come over or needs my help. That’s a big part of why I’m building something of my own. I want more choices for our future, and I want to enjoy our life along the way, too. Some days I’m recording videos and answering business questions. Some days I’m looking at furniture and changing my mind about a room for the fifth time. And sometimes I’m right here on this porch letting the coffee get cold because I’m perfectly happy sitting a little longer. I have big dreams. I also really like this part. ♥️☕️
