This is absolutely true, control the language control the politics. A good example was naming men who identify as women as transwomen rather than the altogether more logical term transmen, ie men who are trans. Transwomen straight off gives the impression that they are actually women, not men identifying as women, with all that implies for women's sports and spaces.
