@mackenzie.atelier: ๐ Wall Street ยท New York City ๐บ๐ธ Did you know the famous Wall Street Bull was once an illegal Christmas gift? ๐ In 1987, Black Monday shook Americaโs financial markets. The Dow Jones crashed over 22% in just one day. But Italian immigrant artist Arturo Di Modica wanted to bring hope back to New York. โค๏ธ Using his own savings, he created a massive bronze bull โ a symbol of strength, courage, and resilience. In December 1989, he secretly placed it outside the New York Stock Exchange as a Christmas surprise. The sculpture was removed because it had no permit, but public support helped it find a new home near Bowling Green. Today, the Charging Bull is one of New Yorkโs most iconic landmarks. Yet its story isnโt really about wealth. Itโs about an immigrant who believed that even after the darkest days, people could rise again. โจ Sometimes, one personโs courage can inspire an entire city. โ Mackenzie #ChargingBull #WallStreet #NewYorkCity #HistoryTok #TravelTok
