@t_s_h888: (02/11/2206) ✒️🛡️🇨🇳 FROM RIFLES TO RADAR: China Upgrades Its African Arms Trade The era of small arms and trucks is over. Chinese defense exports to Africa are shifting qualitatively — air-defense systems, armed drones, electronic warfare — into markets once dominated by Russia and the West. 🇲🇱 Mali: four Yitian-L air-defense systems spotted in a military convoy (April). 🇧🇫 Burkina Faso: live-fire footage of a Sky Dragon surface-to-air launcher and mobile surveillance radar (Norinco). Earlier: VN22B, WZ-551, WMA301, SR5 rocket launchers, PLL-05 gun-mortars. 🇨🇮 Ivory Coast: Wing Loong II armed drones displayed after a 2024 contract with Catic. 💰 No political strings: "Unlike many Western countries, China will sell military hardware to any country so long as it is not subject to UN sanctions." — David Shinn, former US ambassador. 🔧 Not just hardware: training, maintenance, financing, a regional office in Dakar, a joint service center in Bauchi, Nigeria. #China 🇨🇳
