You might as well buy a property if you're willing to pay 16k per month. I know someone living in Parklands they bought the apartment payments is about 12k a month

The issue with modernising apartments- it’s soooo expensive. 1 million for a 2-3 bedroom apartment. I’d really love to see more people share affordable and reliable contractors. Construction seems to be sooo expensive. I remember for 3 layers of stairs on a pool - we got quoted 24k. 250k for kitchen (excluding appliances lol)… life is expensive here in Cape Town
