for me, this is about a friend i had to cut off recently because she didn’t understand why it wasn’t cool to hang around someone who abused me just bc her friend was close to them. all i wanted was for her to see my side and have my back, and she continued to make excuses, even going as far as saying that she had a dream where my abuser was kind to her, and she began to think they actually were kind. she refused to see how this was incredibly invalidating and hurtful, so i had to end the friendship, which anger her even more. it’s been a long year of cutting off people who were actively causing me harm and enabling dynamics of abuse, but i’ve finally starting to make new connections and slowly learn how to trust again. thank you for this reading <3

I called her many times and either she didn’t pick up or told me she’s busy and never called me back. I’ve told her many times “hey I would appreciate it if you call me every 2-3 months even if it’s just for 5 minutes”. in this 5-6 years I was literally her personal therapist and yes I tend to isolate but for the first time I needed her help and I told hey can you call me? and she didn’t so I crashed out and blocked her. Mind you she has time to call her bf every time every where, a bf who she knows for 2 weeks but doesn’t have time for me.
