Rue and Friends :
I actually agree with the sentiment, however joining the military can still be a very valuable and strategic option if you are a prudent person who doesn't mind going through some hardships

Only 1% of the US population voluntarily enlist. It’s also incredibly difficult to join. You have to go through MEPs (medical entrance processing,) before you can even sign a contract & ship off to bootcamp. They deny A LOT of people. Sometimes it can take a various amount of waivers, long waiting periods, ensuring the individual is fit for full, and multiple visits back to MEPs with the hope of getting cleared. Not every service member receives a bonus through enlistment, too. I’m glad you don’t have to sleep in a coffin sized rack, out at sea, for 10+ months, working everyday on deployment. Service members work their butts off for the life the military can provide. If you want it, enlist. But there’s a lot of privilege in someone not having to go through the military to create a better life for themselves. We are regular people, with dreams and aspirations. We’re not evil.

if this was the case, then explain why things are so much more expensive in other countries that don't have the military spending or size of military that we have?

I joined cause I was a green card holder and needed citizenship and I loved it so much that I ended up doing over a decade. I got medically retired a few years back and honestly being a veteran is such a blessing and make all the bull we go through worth it.

I don't know how anybody would believe this. I joined because I didn't want to work till I died, and it's an easy pension with a clearance

They want to force people to join the military without enforcing the military draft. This is why they make things unaffordable. It’s a tactic to force people to sign up for the military rather than forcefully conscript them.

They’re ruining the economy to get more people to sign up for the white man’s global police force
