If you know anything about history you know this is how it went down back in the day.

The eternal joke that the US is 5 years ahead of Europe remains true to this day. Looking at the European landscape, we see the same pattern we say in the US. The centre validates the right. The right validates the far-right, and the left is mocked because “communism is when no iphone.” Meanwhile the European MAGA extends its control across the continent as European voters laugh at American stupidity whilst voting for the same leaders at home.

Absolutely. I’ve been saying this the whole time people in the US like to frame AFD as it’s as if it’s some right wing Nazi party. I said no that would be extremely frowned upon here in Germany. The problem with AFD is it socially acceptable. It’s like Trumpism was. It seems a bit right wing, but it’s not crazy. The problem is is that the mustache men didn’t start out crazy right either. Just enough to get in the door.

The CDU/CSU would rather see Germany burn under fascism, than admit the flaws of capitalism.

Been saying for awhile, I do not see much of a difference between CDU and AfD anymore. CDU is becoming a dangerous party

since they already vote for things and people from the AfD, it is no longer a question. We just need to face it and call them out on it

AfD is pro-Russian. Apparently nobody in Germany talks about this, apart from Merz. He talks about it all the time. So it seems unlikely they would work with AfD.

Many CDU/CSU are just wolves in sheep's clothing. Just watch cdu politicians are going to slide over to AFD, as soon as AFD has enough control, and it's more openly accepted, that their political careers won't be affected.

This is a coordinated European liberal effort. Exact same thing has happened in Sweden with the left as party being equated with SD. The social democrats even are sitting idly while a center far right liberal economic party is refusing to cooperate with the left and hoping the issue will go away, and TRIED to not form a left majority in Stockholm which is killing their legitimacy even as they’re doing the worst they’ve done in half a century in elections. Killings themselves by stepping right just like the British Labour Party. It’s bizarre.
