@themalaymail: It may have seemed like a close shave, but the dramatic landing attempt was all part of standard safety procedures for Singapore Airlines (SIA) pilots. SIA pilots of flight SQ213 had to approach the runway twice and performed a “go-around” before safely land a plane amid strong winds in Perth, according to a Facebook video by user Chris Perry last Saturday (Oct 31). In the video, an SIA plane can be seen approaching the runway at Perth Airport. However, the aircraft is seen abruptly banking to one side, bringing its right wing seemingly close to the ground. The plane then pulls upward, climbs away from the asphalt and returns to the air before making another landing attempt.
