As for the Sun having an ego… 😄 What you’re describing actually lines up, in a metaphorical sense, with how light works. The Sun emits photons in all directions, and every surface they hit becomes a kind of “mirror” carrying information about that interaction. Not consciousness but a distributed record of reality. So instead of arrogance, I’d call it efficiency. The Sun isn’t trying to admire itself it’s just running a very large-scale fusion reactor, and everything else (including us) is downstream of that process. Still, I like the framing.
