I like your stance on this. I take great exception to AI being used in the creative space. But the AI witch hunt is terrifying. Out of curiosity I just ran a poem I wrote through an AI detector and it came back 100% AI. It was written entirely by me. This is why it’s good to keep all versions of your writing, which of course in this case I did not. 😭

I avoid AI as an artist. I've never used chat gpt or any equivalent. I played with a couple AI art generators when they first came out as a novelty but they were useless for reference in my creative process. AI absolutely has its uses, but creative expression is suffocated by its inclusion.

i do not use AI for the creative work, but I use it for making descriptions for the shop as I have no time to write a ton of similar descriptions and tags required, especially in not my native language😏

I used to be super against using AI in art, then I saw how it can be used as a tool and help in various creative processes. I tried it myself and saw how much easier creating was if only we could use it in moderation. Now I'm 50/50. Actually, your pov helped change mine. Also, I think I prefer peacocks. They're shiny and never had one hiss at me lol. Got chased by swans on a kayaking trip once 😳 we were passing near their nest 😅

Historically, crises/catastrophies for superpowers were during transits of pluto over their own jupiter and over pluto. For US for ex (jup 5' cancer) pluto in cancer braught 1929 crash and pluto in cap the 2008 crash. But now we have 'extra' possible crises, triggered by the chart of NYSE (taurus sun and mercury). During dot.com crash, neptun and uranus were in aquarius and saturn in taurus, aspecting the NYSE placements. Now pluto is there and saturn goes in taurus in 2028-29. Why insisting w what we see now? The euro (currency) begins first saturn return cycle, bretton-woods accord had pluto 5-7'leo (1944), 'Nixon shock' had saturn in taurus(1971). To speak about patterns...First industrial revolution- 1780 (kikcked by the invention of steam powered engine), then pluto like now. This engine(the ai and automation of 18th century) replaced work of hundreds of workers. Few years later- boom! the queen, king and many wealthy ppl ended up w their neck on a piece of wood under the ruthless knife. But before this, the left and the right came into the politics, w different meaning, not like today. Who was against the king and his policies at the left, who was for the king and against revolution on the right (in the assemble nationale). We are now in this stage: ppl make a choice (my personal feeling: left is bulky) regarding ai, left or right. But, if anything happens, that looks like 1789 (in terms of social behaviour and vibe) u must know one thing: the ai apostles are the first who get to know the hideous, no make-up face, of pluto in aquarius.

Lovvvvvvved this conversation! In Jan I got made redundant as a CI/UI/UX designer (within the fintech industry), replaced by ai. I’m not angry about it, such an interesting time to be alive 🧐

But not using ai as a collective COMPLETELY, that means refusing to do it in even moderation, is the easiest way to fight against the new, rapidly expanding, amount of ai we’re experiencing which is a complete threat to humanity. it uses real artists art to make fake art, many times used for disgusting reasons (like pdf, bullying, blackmail content), it is helping people not think for themselves at all, it wastes thousands of gallons of water and the rich are destroying homes to build AI data centres and make poor people even poorer, taking away millions of jobs, all while making rich companies even richer. Not using ai can be hard but it’s standing against something super important and being part of that is the best thing you can do. I don’t think calling people ‘clankers’ or other things is horrible as it should be embarrassing to use AI , like WE NEED to push back. However anything like death threats is way to far

Yes! I hate the way AI makes everything look and read nowadays but bullying your average everyday people just trying to survive in this hellscape is not the answer. It’s just the newest shiny thing to hate people over, and unfortunately we as a collective are always wanting to hate someone for something. It’s by design. Just another way to divide us. We need to stay focused!! And peacocks! The Greek myth of how peacocks got their “eyes” is fascinating.

You are so right! these are the same people that are using every single AI tool on the internet without realizing it, google, tik tok, insta. It is integrating into everything… Lets remember what being HUMAN IS! AI is a tool humanity will require, I don’t love it but boy do I see it

You’re brave to speak out on this and I’m glad to see it, I honestly think you made great points. I think AI is a lot like the Internet or even Electricity was. Agree or disagree with it, it’s going to be a massive part of modern society going forward, with or without our approval/participation lol. It’s already integrated into damn near everything you can’t even do a google search without the ai thing automatically coming up. So I think advocating for responsible use is better than the witch hunting and purity complex stuff that I often see. I strongly prefer advocating for things that can actually happen (responsible use) over an idealistic fantasy (put AI back in the box somehow). Unfortunately, these are all nuanced takes, and the average person on the internet may not be willing to listen to anything beyond “oh they don’t hate AI like I do, BURN THEM” 😆

Spot on. There is a tinge of neoliberalism performative politics showing up in the anti-AI crowd. Would be useful if they were at least educated on the subject... it sounds ridiculous hearing people stand against something they don't understand

I think a lot of people just like to feel morally superior and this is their current obsession. I'm intelligent and creative and I use AI with discernment to help me in my small business. I want to do what I love; not spend hours creating thumbnails for my videos. Just like the internet and social media we need to be discerning about how these tools can help us or hurt us and use them appropriately.
