@priyadefineandsculpt: Really?? UK’s First Tamil Lady Barber Performing Traditional Baby Tonsure | Trauma-Free Experience A 4-month-old baby girl’s Tamil traditional tonsure ceremony, performed with care, love, and cultural respect by the UK’s first Tamil lady barber. Though the ritual can feel scary for parents, this ceremony was carried out with a trauma-free, injury-free, and hygienic approach. The baby cried briefly due to discomfort—which is completely normal—but with continuous engagement and motherly care, the experience remained calm and safe for both baby and parents. The parents chose to preserve their baby’s first hair in a beautifully customised umbilical memory box—such a creative and meaningful way to cherish nostalgic memories. As a mother of two, I understand how to comfort babies and guide parents through emotional moments. Completing this sacred tradition safely and peacefully means the world to me—both as a Tamil barber and a mother. Thank you to the parents for trusting me with such a precious milestone 🤍 🌿 Top 3 Reasons Why Traditional Tonsure Is Important 1.
