You're right, Doctor. Many healthcare professionals in Nigeria don't know how to perform basic life support (CPR).
I'm in week 5 of nursing school here in the UK, and we've already been taught life support twice. They say they even teach it to people who aren't studying healthcare. We've also been taught how to use an AED (defibrillator) as part of performing CPR, and today we're being assessed on all of it.
They take the basics very seriously, including infection control, the Prevent/radicalisation training, and all the NHS e-learning modules. Teaching and assessing these things early is so important.
I think we should stop comparing Nigeria and the UK only on money. Training and standards matter just as much. I've only been in the UK for a month, but I like everything I'm seeing here.

They won’t undersand. Not to talk of electricity, water, security. We went on a hike in a remote forest once and someone colapsed. We managed to call 999, within 25 mins an air ambulance came, treated and took the patient to hospital. I say no more!

Any one who earns 4m naira per month in Nigeria is a very very comfortable person . That amount is equivalent to someone who earns £15k per month in the UK
