Unfortunately remaking it doesn’t protect you. The act of remaking itself means you’re just flipping the original. The only solution is to negotiate a split deal with the producer (I doubt he’ll agree) or you just make a completely new beat to the song (This route will mean you’ll lose the entire 150k+ streams). Keep your head up champ, theirs more hit to be made.
