He was released he broke her down say her NAME A heartbreaking tragedy has left the community of Mnafu in Mthwalume, on the KwaZulu-Natal South Coast, in shock following the alleged murder of 17-year-old Mbali Lantu. Mbali is suspected to have been killed by the father of her one-year-old child, who allegedly attacked her with a h*mmer, striking her on the head. According to Mbali’s mother, the teenager was found with a h*mmer lodged in her head, allegedly indicating the weapon used in the fatal attack. Her mother revealed that Mbali had allegedly endured ongoing abuse at the hands of the suspect. She claims that on another occasion, he assaulted Mbali and dragged her along a railway line, leaving her injured. The family says they had previously urged Mbali to open a case against the suspect. She reportedly went to the police and also obtained a protection order from the court. However, the family says they were shocked when the suspect was released and Mbali eventually returned to him. The grieving family is now calling for the suspect to be arrested and brought to justice, saying they are devastated by the tragic loss of their daughter.
