His therapist said “idk what to tell you, if you don’t get yourself together you WILL lose her” he booked couples therapy and stopped drinking and said “let’s just do this couples therapy program, if you still want to leave me after then fine. But I am willing to fight until you sign those papers” 3 years later and we’ve never been happier… it’s crazy how damaging alcohol can be to a relationship. Now he wakes me up every morning with my medicine and water to make sure I take them before he goes to work because he wants to take care of me in every aspect after I neglected myself for years because of his drunk recklessness

Shame is a big part of depression with men. I can relate to some of these. I felt my husband slipping away from me while I was pregnant with our first child, that felt to me like he does'nt love me anymore and regretted the baby. After a long talk he told me he hated his job but felt stuck because there was a baby on the way. I forced him into the doctors office and he was already deep into a burnout 🥲. I helped him find a new job even though I was about to give birth. Our son is 2 years old now and we are fine!

In 2023 my parents told me and my siblings they were getting divorced and the next morning I was on the bus and sent my parents this longgg paragraph basically saying like to think about this and actually talk it out cause they used to argue like CONSTANTLY all day all the time and after I sent that paragraph they said they weren’t getting one anymore and they haven’t argued since then and they cuddle all the time and they go on dates all the time😭 I honestly think I fixed everything

Or when you bury a family member. Who can you trust in those moments? A relationship is not always perfect and it shouldn't be.

We had a fight and made the conclusion that we should get divorced. I was packing in our sleeping room, a pregnant cat out of nowhere somehow had entered our balcony and then our living room. my husband told me “I know you don’t talk to me, but please let’s forget it for an hour, looks like this cat is about to give birth let’s feed her and make some place for her” so I made some food for the cat she ate and drank water we also had made some soft place for her, so we started talking to each other again, I remembered how I loved my man and his kind heart. In an eye blink the cat had left, we couldn’t ever find her anywhere and never saw her again. Our marriage is going great now and to this day I think that cat was an angel❤️
