@laura.commodities: Earlier this year I had a corporate job, a steady paycheck, and a calendar full of meetings. Now my weeks look like this: dust and loaders on a mine site in Zimbabwe, boarding early morning flights between Harare and Joburg, getting a truck stuck in the bush, and closing out the day on WhatsApp calls with buyers in three time zones. It is not glamorous. Deals fall apart. Sellers ghost you. Every document gets checked twice. But I’ve learned more about money, negotiation and how the world actually works than I did in years behind a desk. The biggest lesson so far: the people who make money in commodities aren’t the ones with the most capital. They’re the ones who know how a deal is structured and who to trust. I’m documenting everything as I go. Check the link in my bio for my free First Deal Framework, plus access to my private deal group, where I share live opportunities and what I’m learning in real time 📚 #zimbabwe #mining #founderlife #commodities #quitmyjob
