@mothershipsg: In a statement posted onto Facebook on Nov. 1, the Marine Parade-Braddell Heights Town Council has also stepped in to clarify that the workers were returning containers obtained through their own purchases or given to them by residents, rather than scavenging them from rubbish bins. The town council also emphasised that its workers were members of the community and could participate in the recycling scheme outside working hours, just like other residents. "Our conservancy workers play an important role in keeping our neighbourhoods clean. They are also members of our community," it said. #mothershipnews #fyp #sg
