The Prophet ﷺ said: الْعَبْدُ إِذَا وُضِعَ فِي قَبْرِهِ، وَتُوُلِّيَ وَذَهَبَ أَصْحَابُهُ، حَتَّى إِنَّهُ لَيَسْمَعُ قَرْعَ نِعَالِهِمْ “When a human being is laid in his grave and his companions return, he even hears their footsteps…” — Sahih al-Bukhari 1338 Everyone who loves you will stand at your grave. Not one of them can stay. The only thing that goes down with you is what you sent ahead. يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَلْتَنظُرْ نَفْسٌ مَّا قَدَّمَتْ لِغَدٍ “O believers! Be mindful of Allah and let every soul look to what it has sent forth for tomorrow.” (Qur’an 59:18) Send something ahead today.
