@dr_mikem: Numbers 1 through 9 you’ve probably heard. Number 10 almost nobody does. Five minutes a day of “special time”: your toddler leads, you follow. No questions, no instructions, no teaching. Just describe what they’re doing and praise it. It comes from Parent-Child Interaction Therapy, and kids who get that daily dose of your full attention often need to chase it less through misbehavior. Try it for a week and tell me what changes. 👇
Omg…I do everything… except taking him outside everyday. I guess we’ll do the park today

I just took custody of my 4 year old grandbaby. I do all of this and she's settled in so quickly having routine and structure.

Something I do with my kiddo that really helps minimize transition meltdowns is telling him everything that we’re about to do like it’s really fun and awesome. “Who’s ready for DIAPY TIME woo woo WOO WOO🎉🤪”

Every night we have ✨flashlight story time✨ we play a little music, turn the lights off and keep a flashlight on to read. Makes it so special and helps them pay attention.

Read to mine every day since she was 4 months old. first in my mother tongue, then in english and the language of the country I am in. she is soon 3, speaks all three languages, and is already recognising words on her own. best thing I ever did 🥰

I do it all, but the only thing I’m so sad about is my phone addiction. The amount of times I take my phone for 2-3 minutes… I hate it.
