@armitage.karlee: How do I stop Medicare Part B from taking money from my Social Security check? When you receive your Medicare card in the mail, you can refuse Part B by following the instructions on the back of the card to send it back. If you have creditable coverage through current employment from a company with 20 or more employees, you are not required to take Part B and will not face late penalties when you sign up later. Visit your local Social Security office to file a request to refuse Part B if you do not receive the card with instructions. Licensed advisors at Chapter Medicare will review your options at no cost: (352) 841-0632, 24help.org/chapter #socialsecurity #medicare #retirement #healthinsurance
