@drmjai: 💙 DAY 1: PRAISE HIM ANYWAY! 60 Days of Gratitude | No Complaints Fast Good morning, social media family! 💙 Today is officially Day 1 of our 60-Day No Complaints Fast, and our theme today is “Praise Him Anyway!” Our Scripture comes from Acts 16:25, where the Bible tells us that at midnight, Paul and Silas prayed and sang praises unto God. Now, here’s what stood out to me. Paul and Silas had been beaten, thrown into prison, and placed in chains. And instead of complaining about their circumstances, they made a decision to praise God right where they were! And I want us to really think about that. How many times have we allowed what we’re going through to dictate what comes out of our mouths? We complain about our jobs, our children, our finances, traffic, and even the smallest inconveniences. Meanwhile, we’re overlooking the blessings God has already given us. See, Paul and Silas didn’t wait until the prison doors opened to praise God. They praised Him while the doors were still closed! And that’s our challenge today. Can you thank God even when things aren’t going your way? Can you praise Him before your situation changes? Because sometimes the first thing God changes isn’t our circumstances. It’s our perspective! So today, I want you to do three things: First, read Acts 16:16–34. Second, write down three things you’re grateful for. And third, every time you feel a complaint coming, stop and replace it with a word of thanksgiving! Remember, we’re not pretending life is perfect. We’re choosing not to allow our circumstances to steal our gratitude. Let’s pray. Father God, thank You for another day. Help us to guard our mouths, renew our minds, and recognize Your goodness even in difficult seasons. Teach us to praise You anyway. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
