@jamesmcnewman_: River Phoenix died 33 years ago, on Halloween 1993. He’s remembered in many ways, but I want to appreciate him as a style icon and an inspiration, someone who made the simplest clothes look extraordinary. A white tee, straight-leg jeans, a loose shirt. What I admire most is how at ease he seemed wearing them. It didn’t hurt that he looked like an oil painting of a Greek god, but still, he took simple, classic American clothes and made them entirely his own.
