@abc7chicago: A flock of goats was rescued by the New Mexico National Guard on Wednesday, October 28, as flooding swept through parts of the state. Video from the New Mexico National Guard shows the animals being transported by boat along the Rio Grande in Socorro County, as guardsmen can be heard laughing and bleating along with their new friends. “A squad from the 789th Bleat Brigade conducts amphibious operations yesterday,” they wrote on Facebook. “All personnel accounted for, and very vocal. Morale remains bleat-tastic,” they wrote, adding the hashtag #nogoatleftbehind. According to local media, at least 78 goats were rescued in the operation, along with a mule and a dog.
