Part 2 | #POV After a night out in XYLO, you booked an Angkas—but tipsy you mistakenly climbed onto Jeo’s bike instead The city lights blurred as we sped through the streets. I clung tightly to Kuya’s jacket. I am trying my best para hindi magtama ang suot kong helmet sa helmet niya. The wind whipped past me, making my vision even hazier than it already was. All I could focus on was him—specifically his eyes through the side mirror. Even under the helmet, I could tell. Chinito. He has this very sharp gaze. And those eyebrows? Damn, ang ganda. I’m inggit! The motor is strangely fast. This motor was different. It is strangely fast, smoother than any Angkas I’d ever taken. Napaliyad ako when he clutched the motor and the speed went faster. But goodness, his driving skills?! Napaliyad ako when he clutched the throttle, the bike roaring even louder as the speed went faster. My heart almost skipped a beat. But goodness, his driving skills?! “Kuya…” I mumbled, voice groggy. “Ang bilis…” I swore I heard him chuckle, low and amused. He shook his head, muttering under his breath. “If only you knew…” Then, I saw it—through the side mirror—he rolled his eyes. Suplado. And that’s when I realized something. His helmet had an intercom. I could hear his voice, even the faint sound of his breathing. Weird… wala namang ganito sa Angkas, ‘di ba? My phone buzzed suddenly. I fumbled for it inside my shoulder bag, squinting as I pulled it out. My eyes widened. “What the f*ck?!” I nearly dropped my phone. It was the Angkas driver! My head snapped up. I stared at the man in front of me through the mirror. His brows were furrowed. Oh no. I gulped, building my courage to ask him. Mali ba ako nang nasakyan na Angkas?! Am I too deunk to notice?! “Huwag malikot,” he said firmly, glancing at me through the mirror. Then, with the tiniest smirk, he added, “Madam.” I gulped, heart pounding. “D-Did I… take the wrong Angkas?” I asked, nervous. His brow arched, sharp, almost amused. “Do I look like an Angkas rider to you?” My face burned. Napamura ako sa hiya. “Oh my—No, Kuya! I-I’m sorry!” I blurted out. He didn’t even look like an Angkas driver—he wasn’t even wearing the vest or uniform. Stupid, Y/N! He tilted his head slightly, as if holding back a laugh. “Don’t shout. Masakit sa tainga.” His chuckle was low, teasing. “Mahal pamasahe sa ’kin, ah?” My stomach dropped. Was he joking? Or… not? Namutla ako sa hiya. “O-Okay…” I whispered, biting my lip. But my grip was slipping—literally. Halos hindi na ako makakapit sa the hem ng jacket niya! The rush of the night wind was making me even dizzier. I can feel the alcohol in my system. And then, just as the bike hit a bump, he slowed down. His left hand left the handlebar, steady but cautious, reaching behind to gently press against my back, protecting me from falling—while his dominant hand kept control of the bike. The gesture was so natural, so effortless, but it sent a strange warmth through me. Even half-drunk, I felt it. I felt safe. —————————— #jeoong #jeremiahong #ongfam #au
