@razborgruz.engine: Ambulance Driver Allegedly Abandons Patient to Take an Uber Home A private ambulance driver in Cleveland is accused of leaving a patient stranded during a medical transport. On October 28, a woman was reportedly being taken to the Cleveland Clinic while suffering from chest pain. But along the way, the driver got lost. Instead of figuring out the route, the driver allegedly told the woman he “was done driving for the day.” According to local reports, the driver then called himself an Uber and went home, leaving the patient behind. Cleveland EMS workers were dispatched to the location to take over the situation. A local union confirmed their team stepped in, administered care, and safely transported the patient to the hospital. The private company that employed the driver, Lynx EMS, stated they are reviewing the incident and will take appropriate action. Neither the driver nor the patient has been publicly identified. How would you react if this happened to you? #Cleveland #Ambulance #Emergency #MedicalNews #OhioNews
