@johnnysellinva: This Northern Virginia Afghan restaurant is now open in Woodbridge — inside a 19th-century stone-covered farmhouse. It's located right on Minnieville Road near Prince William Parkway at the historic Russell House. This 2-story flagstone-covered house dates back to the 19th century as the center of a working farm. The old farm buildings were torn down decades ago, but this house survived, hosting a series of local restaurants over the years before becoming the new home of Laziz Kabob. So what can you expect when you walk in? They serve traditional Afghan cuisine made from generational family recipes, with dishes like fresh kabobs, Chapli Burgers, and creamy Falooda ice cream. They even follow the "Mehman Promise," meaning every guest is treated like family — if you don't love your food, they'll swap it out, no questions asked. After opening their first spot in Sterling in 2025, the owners expanded to Woodbridge because local customers kept driving up north and asking for a location closer to home. They've been serving food here since May, and the community officially celebrated their arrival with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on October 26th.
