I got told that my dog had a genetic heart disorder when he was 4 years old, he was given a year to live. He lived a wonderful life until 12, so don't let this sadden you. She could live like my Rusty did a long happy life ❤️

Hallo Maren, ik hoop dat je mijn berichtje ziet. Het spijt me zo dat Lollipop problemen met haar hartje heeft 😔 Mijn hond heeft meerdere hartafwijkingen. Toen de diagnose werd gesteld, werd ons verteld dat hij waarschijnlijk maar 5 jaar oud zou worden. Net als Lollipop krijgt hij bètablokkers, maar onze cardioloog heeft mij geadviseerd om hem hondenvoer met tarwe te geven. Dat was 2 jaar geleden en vandaag zijn we voor controle bij de cardioloog geweest. Hij vertelde ons dat mijn hond nog nooit zulke goede hartwaarden heeft gehad! ❤️Misschien kunnen jullie met een verandering van voeding bij Lollipop ook een verbetering bereiken. Mijn hond krijgt Royal Canin Adult L. Ik hoop zo ontzettend dat ook de waarden van Lollipop zullen verbeteren. ❣️❤️We wensen jullie alleen maar het allerbeste… Heel veel lieve groetjes! ❣️

My sweet boy Apache. He has severe pulmonary stenosis, tricuspid valve dysplasia and the right side of his heart is enlarged. I was told he wouldn’t make it to a year old, he turned 10 in April 🥺❤️praying for you ❤️

At her age, a second opinion from a veterinary cardiologist would be worthwhile if she hasn't already seen one. Some conditions in young dogs have treatment options that are worth exploring.

I went through this with my boy same thing. I will tell you its hard for sure but you are doing the right thing giving the best life and love. They do not know anything different and all they will know is love and care. I am so sorry I dont with this on anyone.
