FROM SLEEPING ON THE FLOOR WITH JUST A MAT TO FINALLY HAVING A FOAM TO SLEEP ON! 🥹❤️ Little wins, big happiness! When I moved into my apartment, I told myself that November would be the month I finally stopped sleeping on a mat. And guess what? WE DID IT! 😂❤️ I finally got myself a bed, and honestly, I’m so happy about this little milestone. The funny thing is that I actually recorded the whole process, from checking prices to buying the bed, but somehow I mistakenly deleted all the footage. I tried everything, but unfortunately, I couldn’t recover any of it. 🥲 So I had to figure out another way to tell this story. I also had to think about how to elevate the bed because I didn’t want it sitting directly on the floor. One thing led to another, but we made it work! I shared the news with my family and friends, and everyone was congratulating me. When I told my dad, he said the bed reminded him of something. Then it clicked! It reminded him of the way the missionaries’ beds were arranged when he was serving as a mission president. It brought back memories of how the missionaries used to sleep, and I thought that was such a sweet connection. It took me straight back to my full-time mission in Cape Verde. This was exactly how our foams and beds were arranged. But seriously, these are the little things that make living alone and building a life for yourself worthwhile. It’s not always about the big achievements. Sometimes, it’s finally getting a proper bed after sleeping on a mat. One step at a time. One improvement at a time. ❤️ Welcome to another episode of my Living Alone in Lagos journey! What’s one little achievement that made you genuinely happy recently? Tell me in the comments. 🥹 #LivingAloneInLagos #LivingAloneInNigeria #LagosLiving #LagosLifestyle #AdultingDiaries AdultingInNigeria MyFirstApartment ApartmentJourney IndependenceJourney LifeInLagos SoloLiving MSJovou
