I have a real answer for this! The bureau of elections doesn’t publish voting records until *after* the election, and each organization/candidate has their own lists, so even if you’ve told one that you voted already, the other ones don’t know.

i get harrassed to vote and go to jury duty in a state i havent lived in for 5.5yrs. I actively vote in a diff state and ive tried everything to get myself removed from the other states registry and nothing works smh
