🇺🇦 Nikolaj Coster-Waldau in Ukraine The UNDP has shared details of Nikolaj Coster-Waldau’s visit to Ukraine, where he witnessed the daily challenges faced by families living with limited electricity as winter approaches. “In Denmark right now there’s a television programme where people try living without electricity for a few days. In Ukraine, uncertainty about power has been part of daily life for years. Meeting people in their homes in Kyiv, living on a few rationed hours of electricity a day, was sobering. Statistics about damaged energy infrastructure can seem abstract, but the reality is deeply personal. It affects whether children can study, whether families can stay warm, or whether people can work and plan for tomorrow. The encouraging thing is that support from partners around the world is already making a difference. Critical equipment is here. Now we need to make sure it is installed and working so communities have the power and services they need.” — Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, UNDP Goodwill Ambassador. 🇺🇦 More photos of Nikolaj Coster-Waldau during his visit to Ukraine have been shared by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Photos: Oleksii Ushakov / UNDP Ukraine Read the full statement: https://www.undp.org/ukraine/press-releases/nikolaj-coster-waldau-calls-support-meet-urgent-energy-needs-ukraine-winter #nikolajcosterwaldau #undp #Ukraine - @nikcw.arg
