This song is insane. This dropped during Cole’s 2 year hiatus after the apology. He casually drops the most technical song I ever heard in my life

😂😂 Friend, LISTEN! TWO things can be true at the same time! I can genuinely like you AND my ADHD brain can be hyperfixating on you! 😭🤣 Dating with ADHD has taught me that INTENSITY doesn’t always equal INTIMACY! Sometimes it’s genuine attraction, sometimes it’s hyperfixation, and sometimes it’s limerence. 🧠 Here are 3 things I’m learning to pay attention to: 💕 1️⃣ CONSISTENCY OVER INTENSITY Do I still like this person after the initial excitement wears off? For me, giving it 90+ days helps me recognize whether my feelings are becoming something deeper. That’s my personal checkpoint, NOT a scientific rule. Genuine connection has room to grow beyond the dopamine rush. 💕 2️⃣ REALITY VS. FANTASY Am I attracted to WHO THEY ACTUALLY ARE or the potential I’ve created in my head? Limerence can involve obsessive thoughts, idealization, and craving reciprocation. Genuine attraction allows me to see someone’s flaws without making excuses for unhealthy behavior. 💕 3️⃣ PEACE VS. PREOCCUPATION Can I enjoy my life without constantly checking my phone, needing reassurance, or wondering how they feel about me? Healthy attraction allows room for independence. Hyperfixation or limerence may leave me mentally consumed by the connection. ✨ HERE’S THE PART WE NEED TO UNDERSTAND: Hyperfixation doesn’t automatically mean your feelings are fake. And having ADHD doesn’t mean you’re incapable of genuine love! Also, limerence and hyperfixation aren’t the same thing, and neither is exclusive to ADHD. I’m learning to slow down, observe patterns, and allow TIME to reveal what excitement cannot. Because baby, once my pattern recognition kicks in and I see something I don’t like? That dopamine might not save you! 😭🤣 💬 ADHD ladies, which one do you struggle with most: consistency, fantasy, or preoccupation? 📚 I’m launching Dating With an ADHD Brain to help women better understand themselves while navigating relationships. 👇🏾 Comment “DOPAMINE” if you want to learn more! #DatingWithADHD #ADHDWomen #ADHDHyperfixation #Limerence #LateDiagnosedADHD
