i would definitely go with a diesel heater. not too hot, has a thermostat, can run as long as you have diesel thats sold everywhere

Your wood fire place would be more efficient if the exhaust pipe was bent back and forth in a zig zag , why b/c it creates more surface area for the metal to have heat and retain moisture n the van better fyi
